Homan warns that California officials can be arrested if they disrupt ice attacks

Border Czar Tom Homan warned on Sunday that California officials could be arrested if they “crossed the line” after President Trump’s deployment of the National Watch Troops in Los Angeles to end continuing immigration protests.

Trump ordered at least 2000 members of the national guard to help with protesters with protesters to help immigration and customs handling (ICE) agents, despite saying they did not ask for help.

Homan said Trump’s order is not only to protect law enforcement, but also to “protect this community”.

“The rhetoric is so high against ICE officers in this city that it is a matter of time before anyone is seriously injured,” Homan told Jacob Soboroff of NBC News in an interview that was broadcast on Sunday night. “We got help, and we’re going to do our job, and we’re going to continue to do the job.”

California government Gavin Newsom and La, Karen Bass mayor, both Democrats, criticized Trump’s decision to call in the national guard, and warned that it was just daring to rise. Both also pointed out on Sunday that Trump posted about the ‘big work’ of the National Guard before any troops arrived in LA.

When Soboroff asked if Homan’s threats had been arrested in the past that stood in the way of Trump’s maintenance operations, on Newsom and Bass, Homan made it clear that he would “say it about someone”.

“It’s a crime to consciously hide and hide an illegal stranger,” Homan said. “It’s a crime to hinder law enforcement to do their job.”

Homan said he did not think Bass “crossed the line”, but he added, “We will ask to prosecute” if necessary, with reference to the Justice Department.

“What we say is that we are not going to tolerate people who attack our officers,” he added.

News morning, Newsom, in a post on social platform X, claims that the federal government “takes over the California national guard” because “they want a spectacle.”

“Don’t give them one. Never use violence. Speak out peacefully,” he added.

In the NBC News interview, Homan Newsom blew’s remarks and called him “an embarrassment to the state”.

“I have absolutely no respect for this governor,” Homan said. ‘Criminal strangers run into this state every day because of its government policy. I don’t care what the governor thinks of me. I don’t hold a popularity competition. ‘
