His robust defense of Trump has attracted the attention of producers at Fox, who discussed him hundreds of times during this period, and it appears to be at this point that Trump first took note of Bongino.
In June 2018, Trump quoted Bongino in two posts on Twitter after Bongino appeared on Fox and friends Slamling at the time CIA director John Brennan.
The Daily Beast contacted Trump in October 2018, and he wrote that Trump talked with his assistants about ‘malicious influences within the FBI’, which calls Bongino as the source of his information.

In 2022, YouTube finally took action against Bongino, who previously placed his podcast on the platform and permanently forbid him for spreading Covid-19 disinformation. Bongino left Fox News in 2023, but he continued to grow his podcast on the alternative video streaming website Rumble, which vice -president JD Vance has ties and in which he is an investor.
While Bongino was not such a proponent of Qanon conspiracy theory as his boss, he boosted Qanon figures in the past, and his supporters on pro-Trump and conspiracy channels cheered his new role. These supporters claim that he and Patel will eventually unmask the ‘deep state’ – a suspected group of government officials who, according to them, waged a secret war against Trump.
“Trump brought together the dream team, the Avengers,” wrote one prominent Qanon promoter. “Get your popcorn ready.”
