Scientists warned that the Earth’s rotation was set up to speed up on Tuesday, resulting in one of the shortest days in the recorded history.
The change, which was launched by the gravitational withdrawal of the Moon, will cause the planet a little faster in their poles, shaving 1.25 milliseconds with the usual 24-hour day.
Although the shift was too small that people could notice, experts said that long-term implications could be catastrophic.
However, scientists said that the unclear acceleration would eventually lead to catastrophic consequences.
If the country’s rotation is still accelerated, scientists warn that this could start catastrophic consequences around the world.
As the planet turns faster, the centrifugal force began to push the ocean water away from the sexes and according to the equator.
Even a modest increase of only one mile could raise the sea level for several centimeters in equatorial regions, enough to swamp with low coastal cities already on the edge.
In more extreme scenarios, where the earth moves 100 miles per hour faster, huge areas around the equator could disappear under growing waters as a polar sea surge to the south.
For those who survive floods, scientists warn that everyday life will be more hostile, as well as planet’s shifting balance, making this seemingly smaller change far more infamous than it appears.

The country usually lasts 24 hours, or exactly 86,400 seconds, in order to complete one full rotation, called the solar day
The faster turn would not just shorten the day, it could cast human biology in chaos.
If the rotation of the country is still accelerated, the sunny day can be reduced only to 22 hours, distracting circadian rhythms and efficiently by moving everyone’s inner hours two hours earlier, without executing it every day.
Such disorders would not be minor. Studies have shown that even small changes, such as day savings, associated with spikes in heart attacks, shocks and traffic accidents. The constant shift would be even more dangerous.
NASA Astronomer Dr. Sten Odenwald also warned that the time forms would become more extreme. As the planet turns faster, the effect, which causes storms to turn, reinforces.
“Hurricanes will spin faster and wear more energy,” Dr. Odenwald explained.
These minutes of deviations in Earth’s rotation are followed by atomic clocks, which measures the time counts the oscillations of atoms in the Vacuum Chamber.
This forms the basis of coordinated universal time (UTC), global time standard.
In recent years, the Earth saw the growing number of “short days”. 19. July 2020. year, the day was shorter than 1.47 milliseconds of average. 30. June 2022. year, entered 1.59 milliseconds short.
But the current record was set last year, 5. July 2024. year, when the country ended full rotation of 1.66 milliseconds faster than us, the shortest day was recorded because atomic clocks were introduced in 1949. years.

Graham Jones, astrophysicist at the University of London, revealed a change earlier this year, noted that the Earth’s rotation could noticealy accelerate 9. July and 5. July and 5. July.
The country usually lasts 24 hours, or exactly 86,400 seconds, in order to complete one full rotation, which is called a solar day.
Earth’s rotation is not always perfect, because it can be transferred with the small amount over time, several milliseconds.
This is probably due to the processing of the country that affects natural powers, such as earthquakes and ocean current.
Glacier melting, movement in the Earth’s morning core and large weather patterns like El Nino can also accelerate or slow the rotation of the planet.
These changes are measured atomic clocks, which time is accurately monitored from regular watches. The recent gardens surprised researchers.
The fastest recorded day has been 5. July 2024. year, when the Earth fired 1.66 milliseconds faster than standard 24 hours.
Although Jones does not know the exact reason for acceleration, it studies what is happening in the country.
This includes moving molten layers into the core, ocean current and winds at the height, because they affect the ground.
